Tuscumbia Church of Christ is involved in many ministries. The purpose of these ministries is to have a positive effect on the community that we are serving, and to have a positive effect on our members, whose involvement in service is a blessing unto itself. Some of our ministries are:

Children's Ministry: Jesus loves the children and so do we. The Tuscumbia Church of Christ has a special place in its heart for children of all ages. We have outstanding Bible classes, taught by gifted teachers, designed to help every child reach his or her potential in Christ Our K6 Ministry here at Tuscumbia is known as the Pebbles Group. We believe that this is the best time for a child to start developing their own faith in God. These children are going to be the future of the Lord’s church and it is our job to see that the church will be able to withstand the wiles of the devil in the future.

Teenage Ministry: As you read the Bible, you will find many places where it talks about the right way or the wrong way. Jesus Himself said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.” There are many things that can distract young people today from taking the right path. How do we keep them from taking the wrong one?

Tuscumbia’s youth ministry program seeks to help parents and families as they work towards teaching their children how to follow the steps that Christ has laid before us. It exists to provide the spiritual, moral, and emotional development of those young men and women from the 7th through 12th grade. They are the future of our “Forever Family”. They will one day be leaders in the Lord’s Church and in their community. We seek to raise them up to be living “Stepping Stones” guiding the lost, and providing a safe path for others to follow, just as they follow Christ.

With the love and encouragement of their families, the dedication and devotion of their youth minister, and their own personal faiths in God, our youth are growing in the love and wisdom of God’s Word. We have over 60+ young men and women striving to follow the Pattern of Christ, so they can one day be the “Stepping Stones” for other to follow.

College Ministry: The Tuscumbia Church of Christ College and Young Adult Ministry exists to create a community of single college age and young adults who are eager to engage this exciting world around us, but somehow remain faithful to the distinctive way of living the Jesus life. As Christians, we are dedicated to living that life together even with our differences. Here you'll find those who pour themselves into a full-time college schedule, a newly married lifestyle, work around the clock, or possibly do all of the above. Jesus Christ, the living water, is flowing abundantly for you!

Ladies Ministry: Women at the Tuscumbia church of Christ are busy, always, working quietly in the background, accomplishing great things. Works involving women include: Hospitality, teaching, benevolence, encouragement, beautification and serving.

Men's Ministry: To God, the idea of brotherhood is as holy as Mount Zion itself. The dew of Hermon is from the top of Mount Hermon. This mountain has been known for the many blessings it bestows upon those who live in it's shadow. Cool breezes and the melting snow help to combat the heat of the area. So here you have brotherhood referred to as "...the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion..." Here is this revitalizing dew falling upon Mount Zion, the Mountain of the City of God. As worship is a pleasing aroma to God, so too is unity among brothers, a refreshing breeze to God Almighty.

At Tuscumbia, we seek to invoke these feelings and more with the men of our "Forever Family". A brotherhood built on the spiritual truth that God desires us to be united. We seek to be an encouragement to one another: encouraging each other to lift upon our shoulders the mantle of leadership, leading our family, friends, and community, leading through service, action, and attitude, and always focusing on our Father and Creator who seeks a deeper relationship with all of us.

Young at Heart Ministry:

In addition to these ministries which deal with operations within our church and immediate community, we also support ministries all over the world. We have missionaries taking God’s message to countries all over the world.
